Description

Delightful and colorful Chocolate Dipped Rice Krispie Treats are a fun, no-bake dessert perfect for parties or special occasions. Crispy, sweet Rice Krispie treats are dipped in rich dark cocoa candy melts, decorated with sprinkles, and drizzled with bright pink candy melts for a festive finish. The use of paper straws makes these treats easy to hold and enjoyable to eat.

Ingredients

Scale

Rice Krispie Treats

  • 8 Rice Krispies Treat Bars (0.78 oz each) or equivalent homemade Rice Krispie treats

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 cup Dark Cocoa Candy Melts
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil (divided)

Decoration

  • 1/4 cup Bright Pink Candy Melts
  • About 3 tbsp Sprinkles (color of choice)
  • Eight 6-inch Paper Straws

Instructions

  1. Insert Straw: Firmly press a 6-inch paper straw about three-quarters of the way into each Rice Krispie treat to create a convenient handle for dipping and eating.
  2. Melt Dark Cocoa Candy: In a microwave-safe cup or small bowl, combine dark cocoa candy melts with half of the vegetable oil. Heat in 30-second increments, stirring after each, until fully melted and smooth, approximately 90 seconds total.
  3. Dip Treats: Dip half of each Rice Krispie treat into the melted dark cocoa chocolate, allowing excess to drip off or gently wiping excess on the cup rim for an even coating.
  4. Apply Sprinkles: Firmly press the bottom of the chocolate-coated rice krispie treat into the sprinkles to decorate. Place on a flat surface with the sprinkle side down and let the chocolate harden for about 20 minutes.
  5. Melt Pink Candy Melts: Repeat the melting process with the pink candy melts using the remaining vegetable oil. Let the melted candy cool for about five minutes until slightly thickened but still pourable.
  6. Drizzle Pink Candy: Using a fork, carefully drizzle the pink candy melts over the chocolate-covered portion of each treat. Allow the drizzle to harden completely. Optionally, repeat the drizzle on the other side for extra decoration.

Notes

  • Use homemade Rice Krispie treats or store-bought bars as preferred.
  • Be careful not to insert the straw too far to avoid breaking the treats.
  • Allow chocolate to fully harden before handling to prevent smudging.
  • Customize the sprinkles with colors to fit themes or occasions.
  • Microwave times may vary; melt candy melts slowly to avoid burning.
